Ingredients

sirloin steak

uncooked rice (white or brown)
Broth

beef broth for cooking rice
Aromatics

garlic, minced
Herbs & Citrus

lemon
lemon zest and juice
Oils & Seasonings

olive oil

dried oregano

teaspoon
dried thyme

Instructions
Pat the steak dry, season with salt, pepper, half of the herbs, and half of the dried oregano and thyme.
Bring beef broth to a boil, add rice, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet, sear the steak 4-5 minutes per side, then rest.
In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil, garlic, herbs, sauté 30 seconds, then add lemon juice and zest, cook 1 minute.
Fluff cooked rice, mix into skillet with garlic and lemon, season as needed, then serve topped with sliced steak, parsley, and lemon slices.
Notes
