Ingredients

Apple cider

  • 1.5 cups Apple cider

Eggs

  • 1 large Egg (Large)

Granulated sugar

  • 1/3 cup Granulated sugar

Brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar

Butter (Unsalted, Melted)

  • 3 tbsp Butter (Unsalted, Melted)

Milk (Whole or 2%)

  • 1/2 cup Milk (Whole or 2%)

Vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

All-purpose flour

  • 1 3/4 cups All-purpose flour

Baking powder

  • 1 tsp Baking powder

Baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda

Cinnamon powder

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder

Nutmeg powder

  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder

Cardamom powder

  • 1/8 tsp Cardamom powder

Granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder

Nutmeg powder

  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg powder

Cardamom powder

  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

Instructions 

  • Reduce apple cider in a saucepan until 1/3 cup remains; cool.
  • Mix egg, sugars, butter, milk, vanilla until smooth.
  • Whisk dry ingredients; combine with wet mixture and reduced cider.
  • Fill greased donut pan halfway; bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  • Cool donuts, then brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.

Notes

Use piping bag for neater filling and piping.
