prepared barbecue sauce

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet with foil and oil.
Mix spices to make the rub, set aside ¼ cup for later.
Pat chicken dry, place skin side down, and sprinkle with 2 tbsp spice rub.
Flip chicken, coat with remaining 2 tbsp spice rub, then bake 15 minutes.
Brush ⅓ of barbecue sauce on both sides, bake 15 minutes, repeat twice, then add final sauce and check for doneness.
Optional: broil 1-2 minutes for crispy skin, then rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) internal temperature for safety.
