Ingredients

Bananas

  • 4 pieces ripe bananas, mashed

Bread

  • 4 cups day-old bread, cubed

Milk

  • 2 cups milk

Sugar

  • 1 cup sugar

Eggs

  • 3 large large eggs

Vanilla Extract

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix mashed bananas, sugar, and eggs until combined.
  • Add milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt; stir well.
  • Fold in bread cubes, ensuring they soak up the mixture.
  • Pour into a greased baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Using slightly stale bread helps absorb the custard better.
