Ingredients

Dough

  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup whole or 2% milk
  • 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in mashed bananas.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, alternating with milk, until smooth. Stir in 2/3 cup chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top. Bake for 34-38 minutes until a tester comes out clean. Cool completely.

Notes

For extra chocolate flavor, stir the full cup of chocolate chips into the batter instead of just 2/3 cup.
