Ingredients
Protein
1.5–2poundsboneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts(cut into even pieces)
1cupBBQ sauce(your favorite brand or homemade)
1tablespoonolive oil
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
1teaspoongarlic powder
1/2teaspoononion powder
1/2teaspoonkosher salt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
1/4–1/2teaspoonchili powder or cayenne(optional for heat)
1tablespoonhoney or brown sugar(for extra gloss, optional)
Instructions
Pat chicken dry and toss with olive oil, paprika, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and optional chili powder.
Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Arrange chicken in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
Toss cooked chicken with 1/2 cup BBQ sauce. Return to air fryer and cook at 390°F (199°C) for 4–6 minutes until caramelized and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
Brush with additional BBQ sauce mixed with honey for shine. Rest for 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for an hour before cooking.
