Ingredients

Chocolate and Cream

  • 8 oz Dark chocolate (60–70% cacao) (chopped)
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream (for melting with chocolate)
  • 1.25 cup heavy cream (chilled for whipping)

Sugar Syrup

  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1.5 tbsp light corn syrup

Optional Garnishes

  • Dollop of whipped cream
  • Cocoa powder (for dusting, optional)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions 

  • Heat sugar, water, and corn syrup gently for 2–3 minutes until syrup is smooth.
  • Melt chopped chocolate with ½ cup cream over a double boiler until smooth.
  • Pour warm syrup into melted chocolate, stir until combined, then cool slightly.
  • Whip chilled heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Fold whipped cream into chocolate mixture, spoon into cups, chill, then garnish with whipped cream and cocoa powder if desired.

Notes

Ensure the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is not too hot before folding in whipped cream for best texture.
