A quick and flavorful keto-friendly Chinese chicken and cabbage stir-fry that’s perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Oil

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or sesame oil

Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced

Seasonings

  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Aromatics

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

Vegetables

  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup napa cabbage or coleslaw mix

Sauces & Condiments

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari (low sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar-free sweetener (optional)

Garnishes

  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper, then stir-fry until cooked. Remove and set aside.
  • Add garlic and ginger; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add cabbage and stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until slightly softened.
  • Return chicken, add soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sweetener; toss to coat. Cook 2 more minutes.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Use fresh ginger for the best flavor. Adjust soy sauce for salt preference.
