Delicious homemade blueberry muffins perfect for breakfast or a snack, combining fresh blueberries with a tender, fluffy crumb.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Wet ingredients

  • 120 ml whole milk
  • 80 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Blueberries

  • 150 g fresh blueberries
  • 2 tbsp turbinado sugar (optional) (for topping)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  • Mix dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Whisk wet ingredients: milk, oil, egg, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients; fold in blueberries gently.
  • Fill muffin cups 3/4 full; sprinkle tops with turbinado sugar if desired. Bake 20-25 minutes.
  • Cool muffins in tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle turbinado sugar on top before baking.
