These elegant puff pastry bites feature creamy brie and sweet caramelized onions, perfect for appetizers or parties.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

Cheese

  • 6 oz brie cheese (cut into small cubes)

Onions

  • ½ cup caramelized onions (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 egg beaten egg (for egg wash)
  • to taste fresh chives or parsley (finely chopped, optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll puff pastry and cut out 2½-inch circles. Score a smaller circle inside each for a puffed border.
  • Place a brie cube in each pastry center, top with a teaspoon of caramelized onions, then brush edges with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and puffed. Cool slightly, then garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
