Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the Filling

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and finely chopped

For the Caramel Glaze

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Combine warm milk and yeast; let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Add sugar, butter, and eggs; mix well.
  • Gradually add flour and salt; knead until smooth. Let rise 1-2 hours until doubled.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out dough, spread butter, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon, then add chopped apples.
  • Roll tightly, cut into 12 slices, arrange in baking dish, cover, and let rise 30 minutes.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes until golden. For glaze, melt sugar and butter, stir in cream and vanilla, then pour over warm rolls.
