Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for serving)

Instructions 

  • Marinate chicken with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and mustard; refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
  • Toss chicken with 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, place on baking sheet, and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Flip chicken, brush with remaining BBQ sauce, and bake for another 10 minutes.
  • Broil for 5-6 minutes until edges are crispy, then brush with BBQ sauce again and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken longer or brush additional BBQ sauce before serving.
