A creamy, cheesy baked pasta dish featuring tender chicken and rich Alfredo sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.

penne pasta
(cooked in salted water)

diced cooked chicken
Sauce and Cheese

butter

tablespoons
flour

teaspoon
minced garlic

whole milk

heavy cream

cup
grated parmesan cheese

shredded mozzarella cheese
(divided use)
salt and pepper
to taste

parsley
(chopped)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F and coat a baking dish with cooking spray.
Melt butter, cook garlic for 30 seconds, then whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
Whisk in milk and cream, simmer until thickened, then add cheeses, salt, and pepper.
Mix pasta and chicken, pour sauce over, toss to coat, then transfer to baking dish and top with mozzarella.
Bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and cheese browns, then sprinkle parsley and serve.
Notes
For a lighter version, use part-skim cheese and reduce butter.
