A creamy, cheesy baked pasta dish featuring tender chicken and rich Alfredo sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Pasta and Chicken

  • 12 ounces penne pasta (cooked in salted water)
  • 3 cups diced cooked chicken

Sauce and Cheese

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided use)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and coat a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Melt butter, cook garlic for 30 seconds, then whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
  • Whisk in milk and cream, simmer until thickened, then add cheeses, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix pasta and chicken, pour sauce over, toss to coat, then transfer to baking dish and top with mozzarella.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and cheese browns, then sprinkle parsley and serve.

Notes

For a lighter version, use part-skim cheese and reduce butter.
