1.1lbboneless, skinless chicken breast, diced
Seasonings and oils

Sauce and cheese
3tbspunsalted butter
3clovesgarlic, minced
3tbspall-purpose flour
2.5cupswhole milk
0.5cupheavy cream
1cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese
0.5tspItalian seasoning
0.25tspground nutmeg
Additional cheese
1.5cupsshredded mozzarella cheese
0.25cupgrated Parmesan cheese
Fresh herbs (optional)
2tbspchopped fresh parsley(optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Cook pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside. Season chicken with salt and pepper, cook until golden, then set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, then stir in flour. Gradually add milk and cream, cook until thickened. Mix in Parmesan, seasonings, salt, and pepper.
Combine cooked pasta and chicken with sauce. Transfer to baking dish, top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. Let cool 5 minutes, garnish with parsley if desired.
