Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions 

  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  • Cook chicken in olive oil until browned, add marinara, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Combine pasta with chicken and sauce, then top with cheese and melt.
  • Optional: broil for a few minutes for a golden crust.

Notes

Use fresh basil for added flavor if desired.
