Chilli and Lime Steak Salad Bowl

A vibrant and healthy steak salad packed with fresh vegetables, black beans, and a zesty lime dressing.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 200-250 g steak (sliced into strips)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • salt to taste salt
  • cayenne pepper to taste cayenne pepper
  • paprika to taste paprika
  • a splash sunflower oil sunflower oil (for marinating and cooking)
  • 1 red bell pepper red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 onion onion (chopped)
  • 2 romaine lettuce romaine lettuce (chopped)
  • 1 cup baby tomatoes (halved)
  • 3/4 cup sweetcorn (cooked or microwaved)
  • 1 avocado avocado (sliced)
  • 1/4-1/2 red onion red onion (sliced)
  • 4 tbsp precooked black beans
  • a wedge lime lime wedge
  • 2-3 tbsp sour cream or Greek yoghurt

feta cheese

  • a sprinkle feta cheese feta cheese (sprinkled on top)

Instructions 

  • Marinate steak strips with lime juice, sunflower oil, salt, cayenne, and paprika for 5-10 minutes.
  • Cook onions in oil, add steak and cook 5-7 minutes, then add red peppers and cook 3-5 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
  • Prepare vegetables: chop lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and red onion. Cook sweetcorn if needed.
  • Assemble the salad: combine all ingredients, add black beans, lime wedge, sour cream, and feta cheese.

Notes

Feel free to customize the spice levels and add extra toppings like cilantro or jalapeƱos for more flavor.
