Delight in fluffy, chocolate chip-studded pancakes perfect for a cozy breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (measured then sifted)
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 Tbsp whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter melted and cooled

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chip morsels
  • 2 tsp canola oil divided (for cooking)
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter divided (for cooking)

Instructions 

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat; add 1 Tbsp butter and 1 tsp canola oil.
  • Pour batter using a ¼ cup measure into the skillet; cook until bubbles form and edges set, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip pancakes and cook for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Stack pancakes, top with chocolate chips, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the batter.
