Delight in these easy-to-make caramel apple slices dipped in chocolate and topped with fun toppings for a perfect treat.
Ingredients
Fruits and Toppings

large
granny smith or honeycrisp apples
(washed and dried well)
10
ounces
milk or dark chocolate melting wafers
(such as Ghirardelli)
8
ounces
soft caramel squares
(unwrapped, about 1 cup, such as Kraft)
2
tablespoons
heavy cream
1
cup
complementary variety chocolate melting wafers
(optional but recommended)
mini M&M's, chopped nuts
small toppings of your choosing
Instructions
Line a sheet pan with parchment or silicone mat. Slice apples into 4-5 slices, remove stems and seeds, and insert popsicle sticks.
Melt chocolate wafers in microwave or double boiler. Pat apple slices dry and dip into chocolate, then place on prepared pan. Chill for 5-10 minutes.
Microwave caramel squares with heavy cream until smooth. Cool slightly. Melt extra chocolate if desired.
Drizzle caramel over chocolate-coated apples, then add extra chocolate and toppings. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until set.
Notes
For best flavor, serve within a few hours of assembly and keep refrigerated.
