Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (Dutch-processed works best)
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch salt

Wet ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons milk (any kind works)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Add dry ingredients to mug and whisk until combined.
  • Pour in wet ingredients and stir to form a smooth batter.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if using.
