Delicious chewy cookies combining chocolate, oats, and nuts for a satisfying treat.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans (optional) (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream together butter and sugars until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  • Mix in flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt until combined, then stir in oats and nuts.
  • Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove cookies and cool on a rack before serving.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
