Delight in these moist, chocolatey muffins with swirls of peanut butter, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda

Wet ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.33 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Peanut butter

  • 0.5 cup peanut butter

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl.
  • Combine wet and dry, then fold in chocolate chips. Fill muffin cups ⅔ full.
  • Add peanut butter on top of each batter and swirl with a toothpick.
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the batter to keep muffins tender.
