A hearty and comforting dish, this classic goulash combines ground beef and elbow pasta in a rich tomato sauce.

elbow pasta, uncooked

onion, diced

garlic, minced

diced tomatoes

tomato sauce

beef broth

Instructions
Cook ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
Add onion and garlic; sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer.
Add elbow pasta; cover and simmer for 15-18 minutes until tender.
Remove from heat; top with cheese if desired and let melt before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
