Ingredients

Pie Shells

  • 1 piece unbaked 9" pie shell

Filling

  • 1.75 cups pumpkin purée
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 12 oz evaporated milk

Optional décor

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C).
  • Whisk pumpkin, sugar, spices, eggs, and milk; pour into pie shell.
  • Bake 15 min, then reduce temperature to 350°F (177°C) and bake 35–45 min until set.
  • Cool completely and add decorative leaves if desired.
