A quick and creamy pasta dish combining pesto and cottage cheese for a flavorful, protein-packed meal.
Ingredients
Pasta

orecchiette pasta
(or pasta of your choice)
Sauce

cup
basil pesto
1
cup
cottage cheese
(I recommend 2% or 4%)
1/2
cup
reserved pasta water
Seasoning
to taste
Kosher salt and black pepper
Garnish
as desired
crushed red pepper flakes, fresh basil, Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve 1 cup of water, then drain.
Blend pesto, cottage cheese, and 1/2 cup of reserved water until smooth; season with salt and pepper.
Mix the sauce with cooked pasta until well coated; garnish and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh basil for best flavor and adjust seasoning to taste.
