A rich and flavorful chicken dish with a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.3 lbs. total)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 whole garlic bulb (about 8-9 cloves)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions 

  • Fillet chicken breasts into thinner cutlets, season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then coat with flour.
  • Cook chicken in a skillet with olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
  • Sauté smashed garlic cloves in the same skillet with remaining butter until fragrant, then add chicken broth, heavy cream, and garlic powder. Simmer until thickened.
  • Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and heat through. Serve with optional parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs or grated Parmesan cheese.
