A quick and flavorful pasta dish with a creamy tomato garlic sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Pasta

penne or fettuccine pasta

fresh garlic, minced

can (14.5 oz)
diced tomatoes (no added sugar)

heavy cream

grated Parmesan cheese

extra virgin olive oil
to taste
Salt and pepper
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
Heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Add diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream and cook for 2 minutes, then add Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
Drain pasta, combine with sauce, adding reserved water if needed.
Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
You can add fresh basil or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
