A quick and flavorful pasta dish with a creamy tomato garlic sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (no added sugar)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  • Add diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and cook for 2 minutes, then add Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  • Drain pasta, combine with sauce, adding reserved water if needed.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

You can add fresh basil or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
