A healthy and flavorful bowl combining ground turkey, sweet potatoes, and greens, perfect for a nutritious meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb ground turkey

Vegetables

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 unit onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Optional greens

  • as desired Fresh spinach or kale

Optional toppings

  • as desired Avocado or Greek yogurt

Instructions 

  • Dice sweet potatoes, chop onion and garlic.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Sauté onions for 3-4 minutes, add garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add ground turkey, cook 5-7 minutes until no longer pink, then add spices, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in sweet potatoes, add water, cover, and cook 15-20 minutes until tender. Add greens in last minute if desired. Serve topped with avocado or yogurt.
