Instructions
Toast almonds in a pan until light brown; cool completely.
Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda; set aside.
Cream butter, sugars, and salt until fluffy; add egg and mix well.
Gradually add dry ingredients; fold in chocolate and almonds.
Form dough into 12 balls, refrigerate 30 minutes, then bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
