Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugar, then add egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture. Pour into pan.
  • Sprinkle sliced almonds on top. Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool before slicing and serving.
