Instructions
Steep tea bags in boiling water for 8-10 minutes, then remove and stir in honey.
Re-boil the tea-infused water.
Peel pears, leaving stems attached, and trim bottoms if needed for stability.
Add pears to boiling tea, simmer on low for 15 minutes, then rotate and simmer another 15 minutes. For stronger flavor, soak off heat for 1 hour.
Remove pears, reduce syrup until thickened (35-45 mins), then pour over pears. Top with whipped cream and hazelnuts.
Notes
For a richer flavor, soak the pears in the syrup for an hour off heat.
