A deliciously simple spread perfect for fall, combining pumpkin, maple syrup, and warm spices.

Ingredients

Pumpkin Puree

  • 4 cups pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)

Sweetener

  • 1/2 cup real maple syrup

Acid

  • 3 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Spices

  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

Flavoring

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions 

  • Add all ingredients to a saucepan, stir, and bring to a bubble over medium-high heat.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low, cover at an angle, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until thickened.
  • Stir occasionally, then cool completely and transfer to a container.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze for longer storage.
