A quick and satisfying breakfast featuring toasted bread topped with a cheesy egg mixture, perfect for a morning boost.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 2 slices Bread

Egg

  • 1 large Egg

Cheese

  • 1/2 cup (2 ounces) ounces Grated Cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, or gruyere)

Fresh Herbs

  • 1 teaspoon teaspoon Fresh Herbs (thyme or rosemary)

Salt and Black Pepper

  • to taste Salt and Black Pepper

Cayenne

  • Pinch Cayenne (optional)

Instructions 

  • Lightly toast the bread.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Beat the egg, mix in cheese and herbs, then spread over toasted bread. Add salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until puffed and browned.
