Ingredients

Bread

  • 1 piece baguette (sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices)
  • 4 ounces goat cheese (chevre) (softened)
  • 0.5 cup fig jam
  • to taste fresh figs (sliced thinly, optional)
  • for garnish fresh thyme sprigs (for garnish)
  • for brushing olive oil

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 8-10 minutes.
  • Let slices cool slightly, then spread goat cheese on each.
  • Top with fig jam and optional fig slices, garnish with thyme, and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle with honey before serving.
