Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Bob's Red Mill Super-Fine Almond Flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Chai Salted Caramel

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into chunks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
  • Combine wet ingredients, melt chocolate and butter, then mix into dry ingredients.
  • Pour batter into a greased pan and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare chai salted caramel by simmering sugar and water, then adding cream, butter, and spices.
  • Drizzle caramel over brownies and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the almond flour lightly before mixing.
