Ingredients

Batter

  • 0.113 kg unsalted butter, melted
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 67 g brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 90 g all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 90 g semi-sweet chocolate chips for the batter
  • 90 g milk chocolate chips for topping

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment or lightly grease.
  • Whisk melted butter with sugars until smooth, then add eggs and vanilla, mixing until glossy.
  • Stir in cocoa powder until fully blended, then fold in flour, salt, and baking powder just until combined.
  • Gently fold in chocolate chips, pour batter into pan, sprinkle with milk chocolate chips, and bake for 28-32 minutes.
  • Cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

For extra fudginess, slightly underbake and let cool completely.
