12ouncespasta (penne, fettuccine, or your favorite)
1poundground beef
1tablespoonolive oil
4clovesgarlic, minced
1smallonion, finely chopped
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
½teaspoonred pepper flakes (optional)(for a bit of heat)
1can14.5 ounces diced tomatoes, drained
1cupbeef broth
1cupheavy cream
1cupshredded mozzarella cheese
½cupgrated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
Add chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes; cook for 1 minute.
Pour in diced tomatoes and beef broth, simmer for 5 minutes, then stir in heavy cream. Add cheeses and stir until smooth, adding pasta water if needed.
Add cooked pasta to the sauce, toss to coat, and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan before serving.
