A deliciously cheesy garlic bread perfect as a side or appetizer. Easy to prepare and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 1 large baguette or Italian bread loaf
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.33 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice the baguette in half horizontally and place on the baking sheet.
  • Mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper until combined. Spread over bread halves.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly on top.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese melts and edges are golden. Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes for crispiness. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
