Soft, flavorful dinner rolls infused with garlic and herbs, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Dough and garlic butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (Softened for dough and garlic butter)
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic (Freshly chopped for the dough and garlic butter)
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (Use a scale for accuracy when measuring)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley (Chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (For activating yeast)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast (No need to activate if using instant yeast)
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt (For seasoning the dough)
  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk (Warmed to 110°F for activating yeast)
  • 1 large egg (Room temperature for dough)
  • 1 beaten egg (For brushing the rolls before baking)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (Melted for brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (Freshly chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (Chopped)
  • Flaky sea salt Flaky sea salt (For sprinkling on top after baking)

Instructions 

  • Butter the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Melt butter, add minced garlic, cook 1-2 minutes, then cool.
  • Mix flour, parsley, sugar, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer. Add milk, egg, and garlic butter. Mix on low 10-12 min, adding flour if sticky. Divide into 14 portions, shape into balls, place in pan. Cover and let rise 1-2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Brush rolls with beaten egg. Bake 20-30 min until golden. Brush with garlic butter, sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Notes

For best results, ensure dough is not too sticky before shaping.
