Ingredients
Dough and garlic butter
4tablespoonsunsalted butter(Softened for dough and garlic butter)
2tablespoonsminced garlic(Freshly chopped for the dough and garlic butter)
3 1/2cupsall-purpose flour(Use a scale for accuracy when measuring)
3tablespoonsfresh parsley(Chopped)
1tablespoongranulated sugar(For activating yeast)
2 1/4teaspoonsinstant yeast(No need to activate if using instant yeast)
1teaspoonfine sea salt(For seasoning the dough)
1cupwhole or 2% milk(Warmed to 110°F for activating yeast)
1largeegg(Room temperature for dough)
1beatenegg(For brushing the rolls before baking)
2tablespoonsunsalted butter(Melted for brushing)
1tablespoonminced garlic(Freshly chopped)
1tablespoonfresh parsley(Chopped)
Flaky sea saltFlaky sea salt(For sprinkling on top after baking)
Instructions
Butter the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Melt butter, add minced garlic, cook 1-2 minutes, then cool.
Mix flour, parsley, sugar, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer. Add milk, egg, and garlic butter. Mix on low 10-12 min, adding flour if sticky. Divide into 14 portions, shape into balls, place in pan. Cover and let rise 1-2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Brush rolls with beaten egg. Bake 20-30 min until golden. Brush with garlic butter, sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
