Ingredients
Dough

active dry yeast

warm water
(about 110 F)

granulated sugar

unsalted butter, melted

Garlic Herb Butter
½
cup
unsalted butter, softened

cloves
garlic, minced

fresh parsley, finely chopped

tbsp
fresh rosemary, finely chopped

tbsp
fresh thyme leaves

black pepper

shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (optional)

grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Activate yeast in warm water with sugar; let sit until frothy (5-10 min).
Mix flour and salt; add yeast mixture and melted butter to form dough.
Knead dough until smooth; let rise in a warm spot for 1-1.5 hours.
Prepare garlic herb butter; punch down dough, roll into rectangle, spread butter mixture.
Cut into pieces, layer in greased pan, cover, and rise for 30 min. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 min.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional herbs or cheese before baking.
