A deliciously cheesy and garlicky pull-apart bread perfect for sharing. Soft, flavorful, and easy to prepare, it makes a great appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 450 gm bread flour ((16 oz))
  • 300 ml milk ((10 fl oz))
  • 7 gm salt ((2 teaspoons))
  • 7 gm yeast, dried ((2 teaspoons))
  • 10 gm sugar or honey ((1/2 tablespoon))
  • 15 gm butter, soft ((1 tablespoon))
  • 70 gm butter salted
  • 30 gm parmesan, fine grated ((2 tablespoons))
  • 4-5 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped
  • extra salt salt

Instructions 

  • Mix yeast, warm milk, and a teaspoon of sugar; let froth for 5-10 minutes. Combine with flour, salt, remaining sugar, and knead until smooth. Incorporate butter and let dough rise until doubled (~40-60 mins).
  • Roll dough into a rectangle, spread with garlic butter and parmesan. Cut into strips, stack, and place into a loaf tin. Let rise again for 40-60 mins until puffy.
  • Brush the top with milk, then bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35-40 mins until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the dough is slightly sticky for the best texture. Rest times are approximate and depend on your kitchen temperature.
