A flavorful and creamy chicken dish featuring garlic, Parmesan, and herbs, cooked to perfection in a skillet for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • to taste salt (for seasoning)
  • to taste black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper. Sear in hot oil until golden and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • Add butter and remaining oil to the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, simmer until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan, herbs, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and melting.
