A delicious grilled sandwich combining creamy egg salad and sharp cheddar for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Dairy

  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly crushed black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Bread

  • 8 slices white bread

Eggs

  • 4 large eggs (hard boiled, peeled, chopped)

Instructions 

  • Hard boil the eggs, cool, peel, and chop finely.
  • Mix chopped eggs, cheddar, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper until combined.
  • Butter one side of each bread slice.
  • Assemble sandwiches with buttered side down, spread filling, top with another slice, and repeat.
  • Slice sandwiches diagonally and grill until golden brown, pressing gently.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or chopped herbs.
