A delicious and hearty sandwich combining tender grilled chicken with savory mushrooms in a creamy sauce, perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner.

  • 400 g portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, grilled and sliced
  • 8 slices sourdough bread, toasted

Instructions 

  • Heat 3 tbsp olive oil in a pan, cook mushrooms for 5–10 minutes.
  • Add thyme, then pour in cream and simmer for 3 minutes. Season to taste.
  • Assemble sandwiches with sliced chicken and mushroom mixture between toasted bread slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cheese or fresh herbs.
