Ingredients

Meat

  • 1-2 lbs beef (stew meat or sirloin) (choose well-marbled cuts for maximum tenderness)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper (fresh ground is best)
  • 1 cup beef broth (use homemade or low-sodium)
  • 1 piece onion (chopped)
  • 1 piece bell pepper (diced)

Garnish & Serve

  • fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions 

  • Marinate beef with olive oil, garlic, oregano, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper for at least 15 minutes.
  • Sauté onion and bell pepper until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add marinated beef and cook until browned, 5-8 minutes.
  • Pour in beef broth, simmer, then cover and cook for 30 minutes until tender.
  • Adjust seasoning if needed, then serve hot garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

Use well-marbled beef for best results and adjust seasoning to taste.
