Ingredients

Dough

  • 0.5 cup apple cider (not vinegar)
  • 0.33 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1.75 cups whole-wheat pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 cup coconut sugar
  • 0.25 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
  • 0.5 cup organic cane sugar
  • 0.5 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl.
  • Combine wet and dry, then fill donut pans.
  • Bake for 6-8 minutes, cool, then coat with cinnamon sugar.

Notes

Use a light coating of coconut oil for best results.
