A flavorful and nutritious sesame chicken dish that combines tender chicken with a savory sauce, served over rice and green beans.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1 inch cubes)
  • 0.5 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 0.25 cup coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest (zest of one lime)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (juice of one lime)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 cups cooked green beans
  • 1 cup cooked white rice

Instructions 

  • Cut chicken into 1-inch cubes and cook rice and green beans.
  • Heat avocado oil in a pan, cook chicken until browned, then set aside.
  • Whisk together coconut aminos, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, vinegar, lime zest, and lime juice to make the sauce.
  • Cook sauce in the pan until it thickens, then add chicken to coat in sauce.
  • Serve the sesame chicken over rice and green beans, garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the sesame seeds before garnishing.
