Delight in soft, flavorful breadsticks brushed with garlic butter, perfect as a side or snack.
Ingredients
Dough
1 1/2cupswarm water(110-115 F)
1tablespoonactive dry yeast
2tablespoonsgranulated sugar
2tablespoonsunsalted butter, melted
1 1/2teaspoonssalt
4cupsall-purpose flour
5tablespoonsmelted butter for brushing
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
Instructions
Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit 5-10 mins until frothy. Add melted butter, salt, and half the flour; mix and knead until smooth (~7-10 mins).
Oil a bowl, place dough inside, cover, and let rise 1-1.5 hours until doubled. Punch down, shape into logs, and cut into 16-18 pieces. Roll each into 7-inch logs.
Arrange on a greased parchment-lined sheet, cover, and let rise 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush breadsticks with melted butter.
Bake for 14-15 mins until golden. Brush warm breadsticks with garlic butter mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle grated Parmesan on top before baking.
