Delicious crispy chicken strips coated in a sweet and tangy honey BBQ glaze, perfect for a flavorful meal or snack.

chicken tenders or boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into strips)

(enough for frying (~1 inch deep))

buttermilk (divided)

hot sauce

flour

barbecue sauce

honey

apple cider vinegar (optional)
Instructions
Marinate chicken strips in 2 cups buttermilk with salt and pepper for 2 hours.
Heat oil to 350-360°F (180-182°C) in a deep pan.
Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl.
Dip chicken in flour, then in buttermilk with hot sauce, then back in flour. Fry until golden, then drain.
Mix barbecue sauce, honey, and vinegar. Coat fried chicken with the sauce mixture.
Bake coated chicken at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until cooked through.
Notes
For extra spice, add hot sauce or sriracha to the glaze.
