Ingredients

Main

  • 2 lb chicken wings (cleaned and patted dry)
  • 2 tbsp olive or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter or ghee
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp ketchup (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss chicken wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Arrange wings on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until crispy.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by melting butter, then stirring in honey, hot sauce, lemon juice, ketchup (if using), garlic powder, chili flakes, and cayenne pepper.
  • Toss baked wings in the hot honey sauce until well coated.
  • Serve immediately garnished with additional chili flakes if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, toss wings in baking powder before baking.
