  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1-2 red jalapeños or fresno chile peppers sliced peppers (seeds included)
  • a sprinkle optional crushed red pepper (optional)
  • cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line baking sheets with parchment and spray with cooking spray.
  • Pat wings dry, then toss with spice mixture to coat evenly. Arrange on baking sheets without crowding.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, flip, then bake another 15-20 minutes until crispy and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Meanwhile, melt butter in a skillet, cook sliced peppers until fragrant, then stir in honey, vinegar, Worcestershire, and mustard until smooth.
  • Remove wings from oven, toss with hot honey sauce, garnish with additional peppers and red pepper flakes, then serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust spice level by adding more or less crushed red pepper.
